Wow!Theat quote read in class was really good. I can so relate. There are some many times that I feel inadequate. I am afraid and am not shining like I should. Since I read it I want to be better. It is hard for me to let my light shine and feel so good and play a bigger part. I really needed to hear that this morning. I have been struggling and this is some of what I needed to hear. I really do agree that we all are incredible and have a great potential. It helped reassure me that I need to have more self-confidence so I can be a great teacher and be successful in teaching my students. I am going to have to share this with my students so they can feel the power from the quote that I felt. I want them to realize their great potential and to put forth everything, learn and be successful.
"Our deepest fear is not that wea re inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabolous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't fell insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our llight shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others". -Nelson Mandela's Inaguaural Address-
